Dr. Brown is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, applying advanced techniques in both operative and non-operative conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder to minimize pain while restoring function.
Dr. Brown completed his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts and his orthopedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Brown then completed his hand and upper extremity subspecialty training with the esteemed University of Pittsburgh Fellowship Program.

Dr. Brown has achieved the highest level of certification in hand surgery, having received the Certificate of Added Qualification in the Subspecialty of Surgery of the Hand. This certification is only provided to those surgeons, who by virtue of their added subspecialty fellowship training and a major commitment to the practice of hand surgery, deserve special recognition.

Dr. Brown is Spartanburg’s only fellowship trained and CAQ-certified, hand and upper extremity orthopaedic trauma surgeon.
